I have many years of handling challenging writing assignments. Trained as a magazine journalist, I have had a lifelong interest in science and am skilled at explaining technical subjects.

Here is my office at Dave Brown and Associates, my communications agency that I operated for more than twenty years in the Chicago area. With my staff of writers, photographers and designers I produced a wide range of projects for clients.

For more than 20 years my communications agency in the Chicago suburb of Oakbrook, IL provided a wide range of services to corporate clients, including company magazines (I produced one magazine for more than twenty years), newsletters, product case histories, audiovisual and video work, photography, design, public relations counseling, news releases, annual reports, press conferences, speeches and even a hardbound book for a company client.

Here I am in Kyoto, Japan. As an international entrepreneur I worked with companies in Europe and Asia and was the U.S. representative for the largest stock photography agency in Asia.

Due to my wife’s declining health I closed the agency and moved to Arizona. From there I began making large-format landscape photographs, ultimately working in more than thirty countries. This grew into an ongoing business for which I developed a global network of stock photo agents to represent my work. I ultimately became an agent myself with my Natural Selection Stock Photography representing nearly 200 photographers and issuing 18 printed stock image catalogs. I made international business connections, becoming the US representative for Orion Press in Tokyo, the largest stock agency in Asia, and doing joint venture projects with several other agencies in England and Germany. Since my wife’s death I have lived in Moab, UT.

But writing is in my blood and I have never stopped writing, producing hundreds of blog posts and nearly a dozen books. My most recent effort, a non-fiction book on parapsychology, will be available soon. Now I am returning to my roots, taking on demanding writing projects for corporate clients.  I am especially well prepared to handle  pieces such as white papers, product case studies and internet content.
